Tanya Wright MBACP (Accred), Adv Dip Couns
Tanya is a qualified counsellor and accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Tanya offers one-to-one sessions for adults and she works in an integrated way that incorporates her varied training. Tanya began her introductory counselling training in 2004 and since then has completed courses with The British Association of Anger Management, The Centre for Gender Psychology and in Transactional Analysis.
Tanya has developed her specialist interest of women’s issues (self esteem, confidence, sexual and relationship issues) in a variety of settings. Tanya trained and worked with Family Matters charity from 2009, working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Tanya is currently training in Psycho-Sexual-Somatic Therapy (completes 2014). Tanya has trained with midwives and psychologists to understand the emotional impact of pregnancy loss at any stage, stillbirth and premature birth.
As well as one-to-one counselling, Tanya runs regular workshops, courses and classes in Mindfulness, mindful meditation and relaxation in order to help reduce stress in day to day life. She also runs Mindfulness in the workplace courses for local employers. Tanya leads women’s group therapy for Mind and has been a trainer for several years, with private an corporate clients including AXA-PPP Healthcare.
